"I mean, I know, you’ve got to look at it that, there’s not the people using it now, there’s not the fishing fleet now"

I mean, I know, you’ve got to look at it that, there’s not the people using it now, there’s not the fishing fleet now, but it will be missed once they close it down. We used to come in here nearly every day. We don’t come in as much now because Ray’s got his allotment, what puts his time in and I sit, I sit and do a lot of knitting now so it’s, we don’t, and I have the grandchildren to look after, so that’s, that does me. But we definitely need something. We still need somewhere for the lads to go who don’t live at home, like when the visiting fleet come from Scotland or they need a Mission. I mean, nowadays, they’ve got, these big boats they’ve got television, they’ve got everything aboard, they’ve got videos, they’ve got you name it, they’ve got it, they’ve got showers, some of them, whereas in Ray’s days they didn’t have. The Mission was home. When Ray worked in Grimsby the Mission was his home when he was there and when he didn’t travel home. He used to go to the Mission for his shower before he travelled and things like that. And the Mission man was always, was always there.
